Happier place

-
I am back where I started.
a work in progress.
only a little stronger. a little wiser.
and always contemplating.
but a lot more cautious.

I used to meet new people and go on adventures because my life felt enriched.
I used to go out almost every weekend and socialize because I felt like I existed.
I used to not care about getting lost because I always discovered something new.
Spending extra money wasn't too big of a deal because it was worth the experience.

Maybe it was being with him that has got me thinking differently about my stance in life.
or from the conversations I had with patients I met during my internship.
or maybe combination of both influenced me to re-evaluate my life.
Something I never thought of...
A person who stays/lives in the same place for 80+ years can still experience life
just as much as a person who travels the world.

There is so much to learn. so much to take in and so much to give.
People take more than they give.
they become stubborn instead of learning.

If we could only find the balance between
learning, giving, and taking...
we would all be in a happier place.

Greetings to all. This weekend went by quicker than I had imagined. Let's see..what did I do?? Saturday was a walk in the park...literally. haha I was home till 2 or 3pm. Then I thought to myself, "Dang, I need to walk or exercise rather than sit my lazy butt here in my room." SO I did. Last time I went out for a walk, I went in a direction opposite of where I would go (towards the bus stop). I found a soccer field with a cafe. Yes there was a game going on so I stayed there for a while under the scorching sun. I believe they were high school kids playing cuz the audience were old (parents, grandparents, uncles, etc.). After 5 to 10 minute of getting excited for the soccer match, I left home. (oh the field was 5 min away from my apartment) However, yesterday I walked for about an hour. Dreams

We all have them. and most of the time, we want it to come true. we want it to become real. But how can we if we don't do anything about it? To be realistic, the term we should really focus on is GOALS. The terms dream and goal intertwine with each other or sometimes used separately depending on the context. Goals are achievable. Goals help us to think realistically. Goals are dreams with a deadline! I'm not saying it's childish to dream but it's childish when you don't set a limit for yourself. When you're a child, you dream of becoming a doctor, an engineer, a professional athlete, etc... and when you're old enough, you can and should turn those dreams into goals. Only then, it will become real. So what's your dream? And will you do something about it to turn it into a goal so that eventually you can make your dreams come true? mentally confined and limits

I watched a video of a young man who was tried and put in prison for a crime he committed as a minor. Then he was put in solitary confinement for misbehaving in prison. He mentioned in the talk that during his time in confinement, he began pacing, then talking to himself. And whatever he thought, controlled him. This may seem like it's going in a bad direction but surprisingly, he decided to use his time in prison to better himself. Because the other prisoners or guards sure as hell won't make him better. Long story short, he was able to utilize his time in prison by reading and educating himself. He now works towards rehabilitating the youth who are going through the same thing he went through as a kid. His aim and purpose is only guiding the juvenile prisoners forward and towards a better future for them. This video made me think of how much mind has control over us. Surely, you don't have to be confined in small cell to understand that your mind can control your action...
